Jessie’s Diner Bukidnon. Well, Stranger Things Season 3 left us a bit hanging after that Russian Demogorgon ending scene. It also left us sobbing after Jim’s death. Lot’s of us cried and finished a whole tissue roll during that letter reading scene in the season’s last episode. But most importantly, it awakened something in our soul. Something more than camaraderie. The love for vintage stuffs! And for us millennials, it gave us Anemoia (A Nostalgia for a time you’ve never known).
Just in time with the Stranger Things fever, Jessie’s Diner opened recently at Dahilayan Forest Park. It’s an all Vintage-American themed diner within the forest park. The place is packed with vintage memorabilias and decorations.
The fleet in the patio includes some classic Chevy, Ford, Mini Cooper, a Hippie Van and a horse drawn carriage. The diner also sports salvaged and restored payphones, Mobilgas gas pumps, a jukebox and neon signages.
The place was built as a tribute to the Paras family’s small and humble beginnings.
The Jessie’s Diner Bukidnon will surely bring out the old soul in you. And since world governments is not yet ready to have the time travel technology released in the market. And a makeshift time travelling machine like Doc Emmet’s and Marty’s Flux Capacitor equipped, plutonium fueled DeLorean is rather dangerous and you might get a speeding ticket for running at 80mph to do a time leap. You may visit Jessie’s Diner instead.
You may also fancy in their typical American diner menu: chicken wings, tacos, clubs, hamburgers, franks, burritos, spags, mac & cheese and more. The diner also boasts their Mexican themed specialties based on Chef Sonny Pugeda’s Washington D.C. based restaurant: “Ay Caramba!” Esta bien!
So, pack your Slurpee and Eggos. Sport your best vintage looks. Because we are going to a strange place! (not the upside down)
PS: No Demogorgons are lurking in this area.
